The Special Events Reserve Fund (SERF) was created to financially support the attraction of special events to Charlottetown – including sport, culture and festivals – which have a pronounced tourism focus and strong potential for incremental tourism growth.

SERF is administered by a Management Committee comprised of five (5) members appointed respectively by the City of Charlottetown (3), Tourism Charlottetown (1) and the Hotel Association of Prince Edward Island (1). Tourism Charlottetown also acts as the secretariat for the fund and all applications for financial support should be directed to them on behalf of the SERF Management Committee.
